A larger size will provide a slightly looser band fit. A smaller size will be slightly tighter. You decide what feels best.

I first ordered large; it fit beautifully, the material is soft, but unfortunately, the band wasn't tight enough. It was an easy exchange for a medium, which is tighter and less comfortable than the large, but it works for golf. It doesn't ride up and does what it's supposed to do.
